okay so this was my final project (and fourth) painting for painting class this semester. it took me about 1 month (although i didn't start SERIOUSLY working on it until like a week ago lol) and i know the colors are waaay off from the reference picture, but my printer, which i printed the picture i used to look at whilst i was painting it, is such utter crap that the colors looked like that on the paper.

but yeah. i think i came out quite nice for my first painting of a person (the sax is my favorite part but it was SUCH A BITCH to paint haha)

Damn woman! You can paint! I don't think I'd have the patience to paint so intricately on the sax. And the shine on the it, my painting teacher would love you. The proportions are perfect. I'm really loving the hands too, those are hard to get right, especially when painting someone playing an instrument.

yeah the details sucked. so time consuming. and trust me i suck at hands too, it took a while to get them right-ish lol

aww thanks! yeah i barely had the patience myself on the sax, i would have to like work for an hour or too and then take a break or else my brain would like explode or something haha. i liked doing the metal though because it was cut and dry instead of something smooth and blended like the skin (which sucked because acrylics dry really fast). the hands were a hard part too because i never EVER draw hands (with one of my friends it's seriously like all she draws) and it was hard to get a good amount of value in it too. but it was a learning experience haha so i'm glad i did it :D
